How to Record a Debt on the Debt Book (Desktop)

The Debt Book feature helps you manage credits given to customers and track repayment easily. Here’s how to record a new debt.

 


 

Steps to Record a Debt

  • Step 1: Go to the Homepage.

  • Step 2: On the side menu bar, click Debt Book.

  • Step 3: Select the customer you want to give credit to.

  • Step 4: Beside the customer’s name, click Give.

  • Step 5: Enter the credit amount.

  • Step 6: Select the payment method (Cash, POS, or Transfer).

  • Step 7: Enter the date and due date for repayment.

  • Step 8: Add a comment (optional).

  • Step 9: Enable Reminder to send payment reminders for swift recovery.

  • Step 10: Click Credit to finish.

 


 

Troubleshooting

  • Customer not showing on the list: Make sure the customer is already added to your Debt Book. If not, add them first.

  • Reminder not sending: Check that you have notifications enabled in your settings and ensure you’re connected to the internet.

Q: Can I give credit to a new customer directly?
A: No, you must first add the customer to your Debt Book before recording a debt.

A: You can record the deposit under the customer’s profile to reduce or clear the debt.
