How to Record a Debt on the Debt Book (Mobile)

Recording a debt on the Debt Book is a simple process. Follow these steps:
Step 1: Access the Debt Book

Go to the Homepage and tap on "Debt Book".


Step 2: Select or Add a Customer

Tap on an existing customer to give credit or add a new customer.


Step 3: Give Credit to the Customer

When you select a customer, tap on "Give Credit".


Step 4: Enter Credit Details

Enter the credit amount and select the credit payment method.


Step 5: Set Important Dates

Enter the "Entry Date" and "Due Date" for the credit.


Step 6: Add a Comment (Optional)

Add any additional comments or notes about the credit.

Step 7: Set Up Automated Reminders

Choose how you want to send reminders to the customer:

‣ Email

‣ SMS

‣ Both

We'll send automated reminders a day before the due date and on the due date.


Step 8: Confirm the Credit

Tap "Credit" to finish recording the debt.


You've successfully recorded a debt on the Debt Book.

Adding a new customer to the Debt Book is easy. Follow these steps:
Step 1: Access the Debt Book

Go to the Homepage and tap on "Debt Book".


Step 2: Add a New Customer

Tap on "Add Customer".


Step 3: Enter Customer Details

Tap on "Add new customer details, or select from an existing customer" under Customer Details.

Step 4: Choose an Option

You have two options:

‣ Select an existing customer by tapping "Access contact"

‣ Add a new customer by tapping "Add New"

Step 5: Enter Customer Information

Add the customer's details:

‣ Name

‣ Mobile number

‣ Set customer credit limit

‣ Optional: Address, email, and other relevant details

Step 6: Save the Customer

Tap "Add Customer" to complete the process.

You've successfully added a new customer to the Debt Book.

Step 2: Access the Debt Book
Click on the Debt Book located in the sidebar.

The Debt Book consolidates all customer credit information in one convenient location, allowing for quick reference and streamlined management.
Step 3: Select a Customer
Locate and click on the customer for whom you wish to record debt.

By selecting the specific customer, you ensure that all credits are accurately linked to the right account, helping maintain clean and organized records.

Step 4: Initiate Customer Credit

Click on the Give Customer Credit button.

This dedicated action initiates the credit process, making it clear that you’re recording an adjustment rather than a regular sale, which improves tracking and accountability.

Step 5: Enter Credit Details

  • Enter the Credit Amount: Input the precise amount of credit being given.
  • Select the Credit Payment Method: Choose the appropriate payment method for this credit.
    Detailed input ensures transparency and accuracy in your financial records. Choosing the right payment method also supports smoother transactions and reconciliations later on.

Step 6: Specify Dates
  • Enter the Date: Record the date when the credit is issued.

Step 7: Set Automated Reminders
To take advantage of Timart’s automation, click on Set Reminder on This Credit. You can select Email, SMS, or both for your reminder notifications.

Step 8: Finalize the Process
Once all details are correctly entered, click on the Credit button to complete the process.
