How to Record Income and Expenses on Desktop

How to Record Income

Step 1: From the homepage, click Sales on the menu bar.
Step 2: Click Income and Expense.
Step 3: Click New Income.
Step 4: Enter the date of the income.
Step 5: Add the income name or description.
Step 6: Enter the income amount.
Step 7: Select the payment method (Cash, POS, or Transfer).
Step 8: (Optional) Enter remarks.
Step 9: Click Save.

 


 

How to Record Expense

Step 1: From the homepage, click Sales on the menu bar.
Step 2: Click Income and Expense.
Step 3: Click New Expense.
Step 4: Enter the date the expense was incurred.
Step 5: Enter the reason or description of the expense.
Step 6: Enter the expense amount.
Step 7: Select the expense category.
Step 8: Select the payment method (Cash, POS, or Transfer).
Step 9: (Optional) Enter remarks.
Step 10: Click Save.

 


 

Troubleshooting

1. I entered details but the record is not saving.

  • Check that all required fields (date, amount, payment method) are filled.

  • Ensure the amount is entered as a number, not text.

2. I can’t see my saved income or expense records.

  • Verify the selected date range in your view.

  • Refresh the page or clear applied filters.

3. The payment method options are not showing.

  • Update the app to the latest version.

  • Refresh the page to reload payment options.

4. My report totals don’t match the records.

  • Check if you have applied filters that exclude certain entries.

  • Re-export the report without filters for the full summary.

Q1: Can I categorize income as well as expenses?
Currently, only expenses have categories. Incomes are recorded with a name/description.

Q2: What payment methods are supported for income and expenses?
Cash, POS, and Transfer.

Q3: Can I add remarks to income and expenses?
Yes. Adding remarks is optional but useful for tracking additional details.

Q4: How do I track total income vs expenses?
The Income and Expense section automatically summarizes totals, which you can view in the overview or export as a report.
