How to Add and Manage Categories on Desktop

Categories help you organize your products into groups, making it easier to manage and track items in your store.

Steps to Add and Manage Categories

Step 1: Go to the dashboard
Step 2: Click on Products, and select Products
Step 3: Click on Manage Products
Step 4: Click on Add/Manage Categories
Step 5: Enter a new category name
Step 6: Click on Add Category
Step 7: To edit a category, click on the Edit icon beside the category, make your edits, and click on Update Category to save changes
Step 8: To delete a category, click on the Delete icon beside the category

 

 

Troubleshooting

  • Issue: I can’t find the “Add/Manage Categories” option.
    Solution: Make sure you’ve clicked on Products > Products > Manage Products. If it’s still missing, refresh the page or update your app.

  • Issue: My category won’t save.
    Solution: Check that the category name field is filled in correctly and that the name isn’t a duplicate of an existing category.

  • Issue: I accidentally deleted a category.
    Solution: Deleted categories cannot be restored, but you can create a new one with the same name and reassign products manually.
