How to Add Products in Pieces & Pack on Desktop

With Timart, you can add products in pieces (single units) and packs (bundled units). This helps you manage inventory better and set different prices for customers who buy in bulk. On desktop, there are two ways to add pieces & pack products: directly from the Dashboard or through the Products section.

 

 

🔹 Method 1: Add Pieces & Pack Products from the Dashboard

Step 1: Go to your Dashboard.
Step 2: Click on + Add Products at the side of the page.
Step 3: Select Add Pieces & Pack Product.
Step 4: Enter the product name.
Step 5: Select the category.
Step 6: (Optional) Enter a description.
Step 7: Click Upload Image to add product images.
Step 8: Enter the quantity in pieces.
Step 9: Enter the purchase price and selling price for each piece.
Step 10: Enter the quantity per pack (e.g., 12 bottles in a pack).
Step 11: Enter the purchase price and selling price for the pack.
Step 12: Enable Low Product Alert by toggling it on and setting a threshold quantity.
Step 13: (Optional) Enable Barcode Capture or Expiry Date.
Step 14: Click Save Product at the top of the page to finish.

 

 

🔹 Method 2: Add Pieces & Pack Products from the Products Section

Step 1: Go to your Dashboard.
Step 2: Click on Products in the sidebar.
Step 3: Click on Add a New Product.
Step 4: Select Add Pack Product.
Step 5: Enter the product name.
Step 6: Select the category.
Step 7: (Optional) Enter a description.
Step 8: Click Upload Image to add product images.
Step 9: Enter the quantity per pack.
Step 10: Enter the purchase price and selling price for the pack.
Step 11: Enable Low Product Alert by toggling it on and setting a threshold quantity.
Step 12: (Optional) Enable Barcode Capture or Expiry Date.

❓ FAQ & Troubleshooting

Q1: What’s the difference between pieces and pack products?

  • Pieces are single units (e.g., 1 bottle of water).

  • Packs are bundles (e.g., 12 bottles of water in a carton).

Q2: Do I need to add both pieces and packs?
Not always. If your business only sells in packs, you can skip pieces. But adding both gives you more flexibility for sales and stock tracking.

Q3: Can I edit a product later to add pieces/pack details?
Yes. You can always edit product details, including switching between pieces and packs, from the Products section.

Q4: What if I don’t enable Low Product Alert?
You won’t be notified when stock runs low. For better inventory management, it’s best to always set an alert.
